        <title>Echocardiographer - Radiology/General</title>

        <description>Full Time Mon - Fri Days        
Under limited supervision, performs ECHO procedures and complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Procedures include pediatric, neonatal, fetal, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography. Performs patient assessments. Acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies. Provides a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Uses independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care. Perform routine, complex, congenital defect quided and emergency echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2- dimensional, doppler, and transesophageal, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices; use aseptic technique. Educates patient/family regarding echocardiography exam. Educates patient/family to explain the procedure and reduce anxiety and to obtain patient cooperation. 
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate&apos;s degree in Cardiovascular Technology. Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonogrpahers (ARDMS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Three years of experience, to include one year of experience in Pediatric echocardiographic procedures, including doppler and color flow doppler. Certified as a registered Echocardiographer. Certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child &amp;amp; infant is preferred . KNOWLEDGE OF: Knowledge of Structure and Function of the Cardiovascular System. Including simple and complex congenital heart abnormalities; Cardiovascular principles, procedures, techniques, and equipment involved in the performance of all above-named procedures. SKILLS: Demonstrated skills in Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation, Pathophysiology of PEDIATRIC Cardiovascular Disease, Therapeutic Measures, Two-Dimensional and M-mode Echocardiography, Cardiac Doppler and Color Flow Echocardiography, and Other Non-invasive Modalities. ABILITY TO: Perform Echocardiograms and other Cardiac ultrasound procedures; Accurately and clearly document the Echo procedure &amp;amp; results; Function as an efficient team member with the Physician &amp;amp; the Patient; Understand the physical and psychological needs of the patient; Accept responsibility for accuracy of studies, continually striving to improve the quality through continuing education; Working knowledge of safety procedures as required; Work under moderate amounts of pressure for moderate lengths of time; Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with physicians, nurses, patients, students, and other employees, gaining their confidence and cooperation; Work flexible hours/days to meet the needs of patients and programs and services.</description>
