        <title>Mgr, Plant Operations (Engineering Services)</title>

        <description>Full-time FTE 0.9 -1.0 8 Hours/ON CALL         Palmetto Health Richland is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plant Operations Manager at our Columbia, SC campus.  We house 650 beds in our primary care patient tower with a Level-1 trauma center and adjoining Heart and Children&apos;s Hospitals. This person will manage directly and indirectly a staff of near 60 technical tradesmen.
Ideal candidates will possess 
?	Minimum 10 years of facility maintenance experience with 5 years of management experience in a hospital or health care environment.  Supervisory experience is a must. 
?	Bachelor&apos;s degree in a related field or experience equivalent to Bachelor&apos;s degree 
?	Strong leadership abilities and analytical skills
?	Working knowledge of utility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire &amp; life safety, etc.) and building infrastructure 
?	Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, delegate, and be accountable for work assigned to staff, vendors and contractors 
?	High level of interpersonal and communication skills 
?	Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulatory compliance requirements, life safety,  infection control and engineering principles 
Major Duties: 
?	Customer service, patient satisfaction and employee engagement
?	Manage daily plant operations of  campus 
?	Implement successful corrective and preventive maintenance strategies/protocol to maintain plant equipment 
?	Staffing, scheduling, training and employee development
?	Development and manage operations and capital budgets
?	Identify and implement processes to reduce equipment downtime and improve energy efficiency</description>
