Webster lends $1M to Mass. biotech firm

A Massachusetts biotech firm whose equipment is used in food processing and biomedical research says it obtained a secured $1 million revolving line of credit from Webster Bank in Waterbury.

Microfluidics International Corp., in Newton, Mass., said the working capital will support development of new products, quality improvements to its existing line, and general corporate operations.

According to Dun & Bradstreet, Microfluidics, whose shares trade over the counter, had 2008 sales of $14.9 million and 53 employees.Read Full Article
