Elona Biotechnologies wants to build an insulin manufacturing plant in Greenwood, creating up to 70 jobs that would pay an average of $55,000. The contract research and development company confirmed Tuesday it plans to make generic human insulin and would invest more than $25 million over 10 years in the 50,000-square-foot site on Greenwood’s east side.
