Biotech firms would bring good, clean, high-paying jobs to the Neponset Valley, but the region’s towns need to make it easier for businesses to come here, according to state biotech leaders.
Walpole officials, however, are wary of the message as they get ready to tackle biotech issues in their use table rewrite – a section of the town’s zoning bylaws that determines what businesses are and are not allowed in Walpole.
In a presentation local Selectmen called a “sales pitch,” Massachusetts Biotechnology Council President Robert Coughlin spoke to a gathering of municipal officials and industry representatives including Walpole higher-ups last Wednesday at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood.Read Full Article
