2010 will mean change for Michigan biosciences, MichBio leader says

The last year obviously took a great financial toll on all industry sectors, and the biosciences were certainly no exception.

However, with the continued volatility in the broader markets, investors generally remain bullish about biotechnology. They point to the fact that 70 percent of biotech stocks were up in 2009, there was less cash burn, greater survival of companies, and additional new capital in the sector with higher market valuations.
