We're currently looking for team members who have 'The Power to Look Deeper' in developing the best products, technologies and service. <BR></p> <BR><b>'The Power to Shape Your Future'</b> <BR>We are seeking an experienced <b>Reimbursement Manager</b> to help lead the development, planning and execution of Gen-Probe's worldwide reimbursement activities. This will include collaboration with internal Marketing and/or R&D teams to design, implement and administer the Company's product reimbursement program and policies. <BR><br><b><u>DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></u> <BR><ul><li>Collaborates with the Gen-Probe R&D and Marketing teams to design, implement and administer the Company's product reimbursement program and policies. Makes recommendations to develop and implement solutions to ensure timely and efficient reimbursement. Becomes involved in individual reimbursement issues, as necessary. <BR><li>Initiates and manages cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit studies for new products as needed to develop evidence for appropriate reimbursement of products. Works with the Marketing Department and Research & Development to create the core marketing program to be used with payers and customizes the message for the target audience as well as key messages on clinical outcomes, economic outcomes, and the potential impact for the payer given its subscriber base. <BR><li>Develops coding, coverage and reimbursement strategies for new products in the U.S. and obtain new CPT codes as needed. <BR><li>Educates and negotiates with payers to establish proper coverage and reimbursement payment levels for new products. <BR><li>Influencing insurance companies regarding the economic outcome of providing reimbursement for improved outcomes resulting from high value diagnostic tests. Works with high-level decision makers at insurance companies to secure reimbursement for Gen-Probe products. <BR><li>Works with AdvaMed and coding/reimbursement consultants as needed to monitor and influence developments in the Coding/reimbursement area. <BR><li>Works with Government Affairs to interact with governmental agencies, such as CMS, as needed on coverage and reimbursement issues. <BR><li>Educates sales representatives and customers on coding and reimbursement issues and trouble-shoot issues as they arise. <BR><li>Works with ex-U.S. personnel and distributors to understand individual country reimbursement practices/processes and establish appropriate coverage for products world-wide. <BR><li>Seeks out expertise to establish a network of ex-US specialists who can assist in obtaining reimbursement for Gen-Probe's products. <BR></ul><br><b><u>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE</b></u> <BR><ul><li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, preferably in science or business. <BR><li>Medical technology degree/experience and /or MBA is desirable but not required. <BR><li>Experience securing and implementing reimbursement programs for diagnostic products. <BR><li>Knowledgeable about the networks of decision makers at potential payer organizations (large insurance companies, government healthcare providers) <BR><li>Established presentation and training skills required. <BR><li>Excellent written and verbal communication Skills (English) <BR><li>Fluency in English and a second language are preferred but not required. <BR><li>In depth knowledge of the clinical diagnostic industry.
